Christmas Living Room 2020

December 23, 2020 By Cathy Farmhouse 1 Comment

It has been tough to get motivated to decorate for Christmas this year. In years past I have always enjoyed decorating my living room and sharing it will everyone but I just wasn’t in the spirit this time. Talking to my friend she told me that there are no rules with decorating, if I wanted to do the exact same thing this year that I did last year it would be fine. I added some more garlands, and rearranged a few living room pieces and that was it.

Key Takeaways:

  • It was hard for me to get motivated to decorate this year, I just felt really drained.
  • A friend reminded me that there are no rules when it comes to decorating and that I can do whatever I want.
  • I added a new garland with some lights and swapped a few things around so it looks a bit different from last year.

“I confided in a close friend who has supported me through the years and she reminded me that there really aren’t any “rules” in my job. I have the creative freedom to create what I want, when I want, and no one will fire me. I can do what I can, with what I have (emotionally and financially), where I am– in my home.”

Very Inspiring. Simplistic in Style. Mason Jars have always been a staple in my house growing up. Canning being one of the major uses for them. However, looking back, I recall my grandmother utilizing them for planting small plants placing them in the pantry window.
